Since opening 1 year ago 17 children have accessed the centre where they have experienced high quality early learning and childcare through play.
The care provided by Nicole Flynn ( currently on maternity leave) and Michelle Dunleavy at the centre reflects the Scottish Governments ambition to make Scotland the best place to grow up in.
The children are provided with opportunities and experiences at a young age in order to prepare them for later life emotionally, socially, mentally and physically.
The children are encouraged to explore their environment in a clean, comfortable and engaging setting.
Experiences are provided which promote children's wellbeing, communication, inquiry, curiosity and creativity and designed to ensure that the children are successful my competent learners.
The qualified Staff provide experiences in line with national curriculum and encourage children to engage in challenging play and be active both physically and mentally in a supportive learning environment.
We liaise with colleagues within the authority too. Nan killick provides speech and song, teaching the children new songs and rhymes which promote literacy through rhythm and beat. Early years workers are also going to be hosting various groups later in the year which parents and families can also attend.
Some satisfied families said the following, “ fantastic nursery, great staff”. “ he loves coming to nursery” “ it's great having this here”
